Solo Hiking/Ultrarunning
Am I a fast athlete? No. Am I a stubborn one? Absolutely. I have a particular love for Death Valley (ancestral land of the Timbisha Shoshone), the Sawtooth Wilderness (ancestral home of the Tukudeka), and Acadia National Park (ancestral home of the Wabanaki).
Photography
Cameras (yes, plural) are an essential part of my hiking kit! I’ve been getting into Milky Way photography recently, as well as collage.
Science Communication
I’ve done outreach and communication for the Science Cabaret, Cornell University, Ithaca College, and the NASA New York Space Grant Consortium. I’m also a NASA Social alumnus (EarthNow at JPL, 2009).
